How the Lab started
SEO Copywriting Lab was founded in 2021 by Sarah Chen, a search-focused copywriter who spent the previous decade writing content for B2B SaaS companies. The pattern was always the same: clients paid for content, some of it ranked, but even ranking pages lost traffic to featured snippets and AI-generated answers that pulled information from other sources.
The problem wasn't the writing quality. It was that the writing was built for a single surface — the classic blue link — while search had already split into two: ranked results and extracted answers. Most SEO copywriting services still optimize for only one surface. We built our method for both.
